After I believe about 2 weeks straight of rain, the sun is out today and is supposed to be through Tuesday! Then a 50% chance of rain again Wednesday Damn hard to start grading when the mud is a few feet deep

At least you don't have any dust. We are expanding the parking lot at our church and the contractor hasn't been able to do any serious grading in over 2 months. The red clay around here has 3 stages: slick as owl snot mud (wet), sticks to everything (moist), or hard as a brick (dry). Glad to see some sunshine for a change.

We broke the February snowfall record set in 1912, 10 days ago and its  been snowing ever since. between the record snow fall days we've set record cold days. I'm ready for rainy weather. all the excess snow should lead to spring flooding. we had our annual average snow accumulation back in January.

Been pretty mild down here. A few "cold" spells (it's 24 degrees now), but not too bad. I wouldn't live up north.
It was 60 degrees on Monday...

Just finished plowing the yard and the church next door - been at it since 10 AM and just finished here at 4 . Drive at church I now have banks on both sides about 7 ft high and all around the lot the wind rowed snow is about 5 ft high .
My yard and drive now has a 8ft high pile in front of house - back yard cleared so i can get to bird feeders now piled about 4 ft high ---- skid loader with 8 ft plow
Keep thinking about the fact I now HATE SNOW PLOWING AND SNOW , winter is also on the hate list

Sunshine and 34 here in NW Il today. The pile of snow by the shop door has been rained on and melted down so water can now get in on the floor. I have to go around back thru the machine shed to get in, because of ice build up under the walk in door.
The best part of today is there's not a 40 MPH wind blowin around.
Rather pleasant out there so I better go out and do something.

I grade this years snowfall as an F-.  John, you can't grade this stuff, cause it's hard as a rock after two days.  Also there is about 3 to 4" of ice mixed into the top 2 feet....

Coke, we have streets that are wide enough to get three cars side by side in the summer months.  You can barely get ONE (1) car through now.  There is nowhere else to put the stuff and it's TOO COLD to melt!!  It's heading for the deep freeze for the next week, but you already know that too, being on the same level as me in 'da nort'.

When's summer start?  July 4th?

Looks like a few more cold ones here then we start the upswing, but no Snoopy Dance yet.
