for coming in here and starting a discussion on oil then leaving for ya'll to bicker about it but this time I gort a legit question.
Is it ok to use a grease on my wheel bearing on my truck, a grease containing polytetgraflouroethylene?

I still gots my A/C but it's clear out in the barn now.

It's PTFE which is Teflon. Use it if you want.

Vehicles equipped with disc/drum brake wheel bearings recommend a higher temperature grease viscosity.
NLGI -GCLB is the recommenced standard for such higher temperature applications.
So the question becomes, does your PTFE accomplish a NLGI - GCLB standard?

dunno. My owners manual says to use hub lock grease on the lockouts and long life premium grease on the wheel bearings. So now we got two different grease types in the same cavity. Didn't think that was recommended.

Didn't you listen to your mother??? Just DO AS YOU'RE TOLD...
Couldn't resist buddy.
The lock outs require a thinner grease so that in cold weather they are able to turn somewhat easily. With the weather we have right now, I doubt you'll be turning anything!!

I think the main NO-NO is to not mix the bases, of the grease. that would be like mixing a sodium base with a lithium base, or a calcium base...
