Does anybody know if there is a screw on filter replacement for the fuel filters on this Buda engine. Have seen some on a show tractor once but couldn’t find anyone to ask where they got them. Would have to be better than the old stock style that they came with. Would guess you,d have to change the filter base. Tia.

How would it be better?  They originally had 2 filters and you would be going to 1.  Also you would be taking away the originality of a valuable classic tractor.

Hey Chuck, I got my filters through a baldwin dealer. My 45d has two cartridge filters for the primary and intermediate filters and one disposable canister for the final filter.I know the original design for the final was a cartridge type, but most I've seen are the canister type.Don't know of any screw on conversions for these tractors. Here's a link to baldwins e-catalog.Hope this helps.

Thanks for the Baldwin #s Dave, need to do something different. Mine has a twine wrapped looking filter just behind the sediment bowl and I know there’s got to be something better. The one I saw that had the spin on type looked pretty slick and would have had to give better micron grade than the older canister type. Just wished I,d looked a little closer.
