When wife takes pix with her I Phone 7S they go to the cloud.

So when you look on the computer at the I cloud folder it has a square with an x in the corner.  Puter says it cannot open it.

Wondering why the pix square is blank on the puter.  Works on the I Phone.  Confused

Hey Dave,,,,they tell me that everything you put up in the "cloud" is suspect to being accessible to the hackers of the world,,,,,,more better to get an external hard drive and link your phone and computer to it for safe keeping,,,,,Clap

the 'cloud' is a GREAT SCAM... easy for hackers to get into and just WHY would you trust the 'cloud' that's owned and operated by someone you don't KNOW ?
then again,hmm... maybe you should deposit your money into my 'bank-of-the-cloud'. That way I can 'maintain' your hard earned money. Everytime you look ,you'll see your all your coins...heck I'll even do it for free......hehehe....

Well,,the way it's turning out all the biggies , google, facebook, twitter and many others are monitoring everything you do or look at on your smart phones, TVs and computors. Whenever you look at something like on ebay or amazon,,,,,don't you start getting ads for the same or similar product you was lookin at almost hours later instead of days later,,,??,
I put all my personal stuff on an external hard drive that I update regularly AND,,,I only plug it to my puter when I do that,,,,,no friggin clouds for me,,,,,,,Clap

I've been in the computer world since early 70s. Still design products using microcomputers. Neighbour wasn't impressed I hacked into his wifi system that he said was 'bulletproof'. Everyday I get 3-4 emails about 'advancements' in the industry , most are related to cars, sadly none actually improve MPG, rather more about telling the World where every car is and what's going on(speed, direction, what music is being played).Socalled 'smart phones' are just a clever way to 'dumb down americans'..no THINKING required. Kids aren't being taught how to write or add 3 numbers.
And no I do not own nor will I own a 'smartphone', I know way too much about the internal technology inside them, especially the 'hidden' stuff.
