Marestail is a real pain.  It drinks spray.  Hit the marestail with a disk, in two different directions.  Went two different directions with sweeps, still not eliminated.

I was no-til for 10+ years. My local chemical coop service liked to over indulge with Glyphoate treatments. Waterhemp seed over winters in residue & probably built up tolerance to herbicide? Anyway I bit the bullet & did a deep moldboard plow during a very dry February, turning under & burying much of old waterhemp seed. Then, followed up next year soybean crop using Liberty Link variety. I also changed to a better local chemical coop service applicator who understands weed challenges. He applied Liberty, Union, & Triple Sec post herbicides which cleaned up field last year. I purposely planted later June 5th, so I could allow early flushes of weeds to be field cultivated out. Seems to be helping.

That must have been after you stopped using a Gleaner.LOLLOLLOL

WinkUs to be spots where I helped cut safflower with a Gleaner that had lots of pig weed,it all came in with safflower. The boss man figured out being smaller seed than safflower if he ran it across hardware cloth it would fall out and safflower would run down hill into the semi. Parked his bobtail under the screen and catch the pig weed and haul it off from the fields. So not much seeds for next year.Wink
