WD loader

Hi. This is my first time posting. I hope I am doing it correctly. The photo below is of a tired old WD located in Southern Ontario near where I live. I assume that it has lived it's life in the area. I believe that the loader may be unique as I have never seen one like it before, and I am trying to confirm that this tractor is one that I am searching for. I am trying to determine if the loader is a factory Allis unit (I don't think so) or an aftermarket unit (possibly) of if it is a one-off, locally shop fabricated unit. 
Has anyone ever seen a loader like this one? Can anyone identify it as a specific brand? If so, there may be more like it out there somewhere. If it is a unique, shop fabricated unit, it would go a long way to confirming that this is the WD that I am looking for. Thanks for any help you can give me.

	First off, Thanks for entering this site! It has a GREAT leader, and LOTS of knowledge to be got! Now for the bad news, there is a few "miss-fits", a few that just snoop, a few to watch out for ( the snow machine guy), a few that ya just can't figure out??? lol BUT I have not a clue to help you out on this issue, but I will be sure that you will get the info needed, and MORE. 	That loader is a "Humbolt". We had that same loader on a WD45. Worked well and would lift a huge amount of weight for its size. Was hard on tractor. Frame flexed enough at times that fan blades would hit shroud when loading manure on rough ground. I still have the loader here and was thinking of fixing it and reinstall. Not the first item on the to do list. LOL.

	You caught my interest here!! Just went outside to check tag on mine. They came with a fancy aluminum or white metal tag on both sides. One side on mine has deteriorated a bit. Other side is perfect. So the correct spelling is "Humboldt". Under that it says Silbaugh Mfg. Co. Humboldt Ia. Was a good loader at that time! 	Hello Ed. Thanks for your reply. I take no responsibility for the crazy exhaust in the photo. I did a bit of searching about the Silbaugh Mfg Co. I did not find much, but it looks like they did make farm implements and equipment including loaders for farm tractors. I even found a reference to Allis Chalmers tractors. Maybe they had a partnership with Allis back in the day. I could only find a few pictures, and none are the same as the loader on the WD in my post. The bucket and the arms are similar, but the frame does not have the same heavy triangular structures. Is there any way you could post a photo of your loader, especially the triangular frame components? Also, do you know the original history of your WD45 and the loader? Did it come from an Allis dealer in your area? The WD that I am looking for, which may or may not be the one in my post, originally came from an Allis dealer in the village of Dundalk, not that far from you.

	My WD45 is a family deal. Dad bought it new in 1954 at dealer in Hanover Ont. I think the loader came from same dealer. I can send pics later to your cell phone or email. Loader is in pieces now and not on tractor but is identical to your pic. The loader was red in colour but no paint left now. I think yours was painted to match tractor. Didn't know there was dealer in Dundalk. Was a big dealer in Shelburne but can't remember the name. Just remembered - Shelburne was Ewing farm equipment. Edited by Ed (Ont) - 06 Apr 2018 at 7:25pm

	A few of our neighbours have tractors bought in Shelburne. Our neighbours wc came from there. I have my grandpas wd45 he bought in Hillsburgh from Mel Barden that later became Graham.. Edited by Brampton 02 gt - 06 Apr 2018 at 8:40pm

	Thanks Ed. I would like to see the pictures at your leisure. The dealer in Dundalk was on Highway 10 right at Dundalk corner. The dealer's name was Harvey Grummett. Later there was a Chrysler dealer called Moore's Garage on that site. I think there is a gas station and coffee shop there now. The WD that I am looking for once belonged to my Dad and came from that dealership, probably used in the late 50's I think. My Granddad also had a WF that came from there. I have no idea what happened to it.
