The d-10 I bought at auction a couple weeks ago may be an industrial. Amp gauge stays pegged, so I pulled side covers off & looks to be some hints of factory yellow! Maybe thats why the grille & seat look wrong for a 66 model. Also has a push button start, is that correct?{never seen one on a d 10}. I pulled the front rockshaft off, maybe this wkend take some pics, it will be for sale, not the tractor just the front cultivator assembly, brackets, & cyl. Serial no. is 9416

The I400 had a different front axle and the serial number you listed is correct for a Series III D10. The differences you listed are just things that were not replaced with original parts.

The D-10 series III has a 12 volt electric system with push button starter.

The primer that AC used was yellow. Most times when you see yellow paint on a D-series, it is just the primer showing through.
