The one I seen was years ago, front end off the ground tractor still going forward with momentum front end came down - snaped it

That's just part of tractor pulling,like blowing engines.10K$ front end or 30K$ motor if that what's they're into they expect it.

2) WHY would the pedestal break/fall off during a tractor pull ?

Yea..some clubs/associations don't allow narrow fronts,,,better check the rules where he is gonna pull

Yes it went for $10k. I stood right behind it and the bidder. I spoke with him when it was all said and done. I won't say where it went out of respect for his privacy but it is staying fairly close. He bought it for his grandson building a 190 puller.

I like narrow fronts if tractor is just a show piece. Takes up less space to store and haul on trailer.

The foundry at witchita falls texas has all the patterns im told for weights. They were recasting any weights by the pound
(I was trying to reference skateboarders post) it didnt qoute it

I'd say the NF verses WF value has made a complete switch especially with the bigger tractors.When I was looking for a D15 I found a whole lot more WF than NF tractors around. BTW if anyone is interested I have a D19 single wheel set up I'd sell and I'll give at least a 90% discount over that NF(LOL)

If you look at the older 190 front support casting, it could be finished off by fully machining the bores and other passages and bolt holes. The pistons and shaft/gear assembly would be much harder. Might be able to graft in parts from an Oliver to fit inside the A-C casting ?? Then too, you'd have to find a pedestal and they are different than any other A-C.

Agreed but it wasn't my money so more power to em. Wonder why someone isn't reproducing them, they wouldn't sell for near that but gotta be some $$ to be made if it could be done. Always thought that with D21 starter weights also.
