Saw what should have been D-14 #5 for me on the weekend. Basic D-14, '57, Freeman trip loader, combine rims, small bush hog, very 'original clothes'(rather rusty, just being polite)  being used  AS A SIGN POST for a boarding farm up the road. Left message, she got back last night..

sitting down ??? $8,500 Canucks !! I dang near had a heart attack from the 'sticker shock' ! BTW NO hydraulics so loader and bushhog strapped and chained. Politely told her that was way too much for me, thanks but no thanks. So I got thinking about my 'orange investments' here. 4 running D-14s, 2 freeman loaders( 1 trip, 1full power),2- 3 F-plows, 1 rear blade, 5' rototiller(newish),7'cultivator, 3- 3pt adapters,a b112 with tiller and the '61 Gleaner A( I gave away as 79th bday present) AND a 16' trailer to haul them. All told I have LESS than the 8500 she wanted for her D-14..... yup, I'm STILL shaking my head over it. Jay |

Jay, I'm figuring $US and you have around $10,000 with what you have there.  At least around here in WI.

A lot of those citybots that become "horse farmers" don't have an abundance of common sense. Some people just don't have a clue.

   Jay,

If it's really what you want make here a offer that you can live with. Then just walk away. My guess is that you could buy it for half of that, and she will find that out when it doesnt sell. Regards, Chris |

I will go with the idea that it is a 'family treasure' and they do not want to sell.
