I have a 1967 book and it shows the series IV gas at $5193 and diesel at $5975 power steering would add $172. I have an older book somewhere and will do a little more digging. Tom

I have a March 1960 book, list price on one with wide front end was $3845. There is a list of options to add to that if you wanted. A diesel listed for $4255. Power steering and hour meter were extra plus some other ways to have one. Hand written in the front of my book it says selling one with wide front and power steering for $4075.

My dad always said our Series I D17 was about $3000 new. Milk at the time was about $3/cwt so it took 100,000# of milk to buy it. Should be able to buy a new 50 hp tractor today for about $15,000 to be equal. I'm not sure if the D17 price included the trade in of a WD 45 or not.
