I was wondering if anyone knew how many 7000 open station fender tractors were made. Also how many of those had 2 post rops with canopy? One just followed me home, I have never seen one in person before, and only seen pictures of two others.

Nice find, cant wait to see pics. For some reason the 7000 open station is my new fav. There are two for sale at Tractor house and one in classifieds section. Did you get one of those or find a another? Also is yours a open or a ROPS ,maroon or blk belly?

The one I got is a maroon belly with fenders and 2 post rops with canopy, not the 4 post cutaway cab style. It's none of the ones for sale on the Internet. The fenders and sheet metal around the seat are both different than a fender only tractor. I looked at the one at Wilkes last weekend, it's going to need a lot of work to make nice. The platform and fenders are pretty rusty.

Really nice find. Never knew they existed. Ilike it. What kind of shape is the canopy in? I have a 160 with a canopy which is sorta rare. I am also putting a canopy on my 175 but need a top (same as yours) and the vertical support pieces. Yeah I really like canopys.

Damn Andy! you seem to find some nice tractors. Just an FYI, no 7000 had the 4 post rops that I've ever seen.

Thanks guys, i got lucky, which contrary to ED's belief rarely happens. Lol. It really is a nice tractor. I can't believe how nice of shape it is in, the tin is perfect except for a small dent in the nose. No rust whatsoever on on the fenders and platform. It also has new rubber on all four corners. The previous owner said that he was told that only a dozen or so ROPS tractors were built. I don't know if that's true but there can't be too many out there.

Looks like the one that sold a Dakota Illinois on the 24th, brought $3200 with a bad clutch, less than 4000 hours if I remember right. Still a very good buy.
I was bidding, but thought a friend of mine had the bid, so I dropped out, turned out it was the guy behind him. Edited by TedBuiskerN.IL. - 03 Oct 2016 at 5:38am |

Ted- If it makes you feel better, I paid more than $3200 for it! Haha. The guy who bought it at the sale is a local tractor jockey. It didn't need a clutch, just adjusted. However it does need brakes.

Play Farmer, just have to ask if you will tell us what is hidden under the sheet metal where the front weights go?

The 7000s really are nice. Wish we went for one instead of our White 2-105. The open station ones just look prettier IMO too
