Just daydreaming here and was wondering if a D17 will get down to 4500 pounds with a driver? Thanks.

If done correctly, 4000 lbs without a driver isn't hard. 15.5 x 38 cut tires, wheelie bars and weight racks...still has PTO and hyd pump, no power steering and NF. I think there's others out there who have gone much more extreme.

Thanks Dr. Thought it would. Might be nice to have the power director...I'm looking at a 180 gasser as well but it might be tight to make it...lol.

Yes, I pull 4500 with my SII as is, stock. I weigh 200, so it is 4200-4300 lbs.
I have 16.9x28's and power steering.

I doubt a Series IV would get that low as they have a heavier rear end.

I'm sure if you gut the hydraulics, remove rockshaft/pto, fender supports and such you can get down to 4000 or less.

My series one weighs around 3400 with out me on it. D 15 narrow front, no pto (covered with aluminum plate), Wd fenders( used aluminum mounting brackets), remove all hydraulic lines and levers, 15.5 38s on spoked rims front and rear, remove all snap coupler components and made my own pulling hitch.
