You also may want to look at the gear shifter rails. We found that there was very little problem with them when we sold them but after all this time the detent spring may be broken or the shifting rails worn.
Move the shift lever around and see if when you place it in gear that you have a solid feel.
If not drain the oil from the transmission and remove the shifter place located on the left hand side of the transmission. Check the high shifter rail to see if has a solid move into place. If not then remove it. Be careful cause the detent balls can fly out. May be a detent spring or a damaged rail.
We had to do this a lot with the WC shifter but not much the B-C shifter.
