Followup to a previous post. Got lucky and do not have much to do with this one....and did not have to travel any to get it into my shop! The previous owner (a neighbor) rebuilt the engine (out of frame), new gages (including hour meter), rebuilt electrical, good rubber, then had everything sand blasted then he primed and painted it with automotive quality paint. Am sure he spent more restoring it than what I paid him for it. Unfortunately, he forgot about keeping ground paths free of paint and I am currently chasing down some electrical issues (got the starter issue resolved, am now working out the charging circuit issue).
Got the electrical issues resolved after removing some paint on a few places. Now starts just great, charging system is OK, and purrs like a kitten. Should look great with my CA lawn mower, 2-D12s, original D14, D15, D17D, and D19D.
BTW, the water spots on the shop floor is a result of a heavy spring rain, frost in ground and frozen gutters. My shop apron heaves up from the frost in the winter, the gutters tend to freeze, and when we have a hard spring rain before the frost goes out (and the apron settles down)...and the gutters have not fully unthawed, it happens. Could be worse, could have to do my work outside in the mud.

VERY NICE !!! I remember as a kid, I just didn't like the black bar grill D tractors. I've matured a little over the years and they really have grown on me. Currently have 2 black bar grill tractors.

Very Nice! He went all out with the exterior. With the full out of frame rebuild she should be good for another 50 years.

Greg, super nice....I wish I had some neigbors like you do.......yea, I never used to care for those black bar D14's and D17's either, but I think they look very sharp now.
