I need a new muffler for my 185 and was wondering what everyone prefers.  The aftermarket muffler is about $65 and the OEM is almost $250.  Does the smaller exhaust outlet on the aftermarket muffler make any difference??  Thanks!!

Worst thing is you get what you pay for and you pay for what you get.I got a Walker on my 45 and it's pretty much like oem as far as sound. Most of the cheap ovals like Stanley look right but aren't quiet and sound crappy.I don't know if Walker makes one for your 185 or not but that would be worth a try.Higher than wannabe's but cheaper than oem.

Thanks Steve.  So other than it not looking original it would be ok?  The only thing I was concerned about was the smaller exhaust outlet pipe.

The smaller outlet will rob horsepower and if worked real hard you can burn valves because of to much back pressure. Been there done that!
