The guy I bought the 20-35 from said he always drained the antifreeze out of it over winter because he didn't want it eating away at the sleeves and I'm wondering if that's a good idea or would it be worse because you are exposing them to oxygen by draining it and that would cause rust??? I've never heard of his theory but maybe there's something to it?? He also only ran about a 25% mix in it which was another reason.

I would think it would rust more empty. I have heard stories of old antifreeze causing problems but don't know what to believe.

Modern antifreeze has rust preventive chemicals in it? Not sure how it could do any harm, unless used past its life expectantcy. I put antifreeze in my wd that was good for 150000 miles so I figure Ill change it in 10 years.
