This is just an idea that I had.  I like the short narrow compact size and non-tricycleness of an Allis B, but I wish I had 4 speeds and that my pto would still run when I put the clutch in like a CA.  Has anybody on here looked into the feasability of this or tried it?

The elusive BA.  I have done some research and it looks do able.  However, for it to remain the B width, you have to forgo the axle clutch that gives it the allusion of live PTO.  You might consider going with a Wide Front CA and adjust the wheels in to the narrowest setting.

Essentially, the only think you would need to change is the torque tube if you are using an earlier B, and the front end to make a CA if you are swapping out the Trans and Rear Axle. Might as well just go buy a CA...

the only way to keep the PTO live is to use the hand clutch, if you use the foot clutch everything stops.

Here is one for sale close to me. this is more along the lines of a CA with a B wide front.
