I will never understand the value of tractors and there parts, this seems mostly true with the a/c stuff. just watched a char lyn complete power steering set up for a wd, wd45 on ebay go for $513. Earlier in the day a complete wd 45 in nice shape with FACTORY power steering and a wide front sold for $930! It is no wonder so many buy even good tractors with the only intention of parting them out. I need so much for my wd but still don't pull the trigger on buying anything for it as it seems cheaper to but a complete tractor with everything I want on it for parts.

That is how salvage yards work too, I hate to see perfectly good tractors, trucks, motorcycles, etc. on Ebay or in a junk yard, but that's how we keep our old stuff going.

Besides the value of a tractor is relative... as in if it belonged to a relative we'll spend three times more than it'll ever be worth to restore it! Thats why parts are so expensive! LOL

Hmmm. lot easier to hide the Charlynn pump from the wife than the whole WD 45, but I do understand your point.

Kinda the same concept as on paper, I'm worth more dead with the life insurance.......LOL
Thanks

Its crazy. You take a nice wd that needs tires and rims for instance, you buy new ones and you just put more into your tractor then it is worth! Getting tired of watching ebay as there never seems to be any deals, all goes for top dollar.

Was the tractor in New York? local PU only? I bet that had alot to do with it if someone needs a part to continue with a project. Time is also money.
