Always offer a bit more than current scrap value(so you're not insulting the seller) but remember a nonrunning tractor is very hard to put a price on. A stuck motor could cost $$$$ and you don't know about the clutch,tranny,rearend,etc.Pictures can be priceless ! These guys KNOW their tractors, and you may have a 'diamond in the rough'!!

S/N is found on top of the transmiyion right by the shift lever, also what are the tires like? rubber is expensive.
