Hey guys just checking to see what this tractor would be worth?  It is all original paint and 3423 hours.  Good tires on the rear. Just a sharp excellent running machine?  Factory front weights and canopy. Hard to find.  Just doing some thinking out load.  I see some 4320's and 4020s sell for in the 10,000 to 15,000 range I think these  are just as nice of a tractor. Each have there High points. And... I am a huge orange Man!! Thank you for any input.

Very sweet looking tractor, Andrew. I agree with you that it's just as nice as a JD counter part, but they sure don't seem to fetch the same kind of money as the green ones. I'd really wouldn't know what to tell you for a worth on it. Darrel

I say 2500.00 is all its worth.  If your selling it.... And I will take it...lol.  I know what your saying about the green ones, but the orange ones just dont bring as much. I would take the orange ones over the green everyday.

I saw a 185 on tractorhouse a year or so ago for $8,500 that had low hours, looked that nice, had a canopy and had new brakes.   I would think you got $10,000 for it you'd be doing pretty good but probably in the $8,000-$9,000 would be my guess.

Beautiful tractor.  I love the 100 series with canopies.  I drove a 200 w/o a canopy, when I was in high school, baling and pulling a cultipacker and I loved it.  Was much quieter than the 190 and had plenty of power.

You seem to find the nice ones Andrew.

$$$ Class $$$ How can you put a dollar figure on class? You have the nicer looking front weights. The prettiest front grill that AC ever made. Looks like 18.4 R38's, 540/1000 PTO, and you don't find the open station with the canopy. The only way it could be better is if it had the factory cab with a working AC and parked in my shed.

Around here (sw OH) they will bring around $7500 (median range). I have one with a year-a-round cab, good paint, 38s, thatd id trade for that one. Ive always wanted one open station.  There was a 185 at an auction a few weeks ago, looked good and had a loader. $10200!

It is a beautiful tractor but I have no idea what it is worth.  Probably more then I can afford.  One complaint I have against AC's of that size is the poor step system they have for getting on.  None of the brands were great in the 60's and early 70's but AC's were about the worst.  I'm planing on building a step system similar to the aftermarket ones for JD and IHC for my 190XT.

All I ever hear is of gear problems on the 190/200 tractors. Makes me leery. Did the above mentioned green tractors have gear problems too?

Andrew,  I've got a bunch of A-C front weights and I'm not sure what they fit. What is the number of the front weights? Is there a seperate little bracket with the bolt that locks them into place on the tractor bracket?

Andrew; Very nice Looking 200, vinage 25-30 yr.old tractor, I liked mine other then the front end was a little lighter then the 190xt, as far as price, how bad you want it and how much money you have LOL, but if the trans is good I would think 7500 to 9500 around here in Michigan.

It is really hard to say. As for the steps they arent bad with the 34 inch tires.  With the 38's with the two step option it really helps getting on.  When getting off it isnt as easy as other models.   They are one of my favorites.  The 190s and 200's   Just great all the way around.  Thanks for the response guys!   I Do know I would rather pay more for a good one in good condition as one that does need alot of repairs.

Thanks
Andrew

Very nice looking 200.

And to the question as to what it's worth? I know it's $3000 difference between if one is buying or selling.

Synchronizers will go bad from time to time but green guys usually fix em rather than park em. When a tractor is worth more, it's usually worth fixing. The power shift was not the greatest thing in those either when I was growing up and they were still main horses. I guess the biggest complaint I always had about the 4020 was it was a fuel hog and a bit doggy unless it was turboed alla 4320. Same with the 5020 and 6030 both big dogs, though I never drove one of those but there were a couple around the immediate area. Way over weight and not at all a snappy engine made for real big dogs but back then Deere was never known for fuel efficiency and guts. Pretty solid tractors otherwise. Wait the shifting was not so hot on the synchro range models. Kinda mickey mouse and a reach. I never liked shifting them and if memory serves me right the oil filters aren't spin on so it's a little messy and same with the air cleaner being oil bath until the late ones came out. Then there's those worthless generators. Hydraulic couplers seemed to always leak bad with those poppet valves and it took a special tool to repair them. The split 12volt/24 volt electrical system is a real nightmare especially after a farmer gets his hands in it but I think by now many have done away with that stupid system. Not too handy to get at the batteries if you have a cab. Experienced that more than I cared in the cold. Green isn't without faults.
