One of my neighbors has what I think is an old Long Manufacturing disk he wants gone. It's a 10' with the quick disk angle adjustment where you pull a couple of pins and either drive forward or backwards to shift the center beam of the disk, then go drop the pins back in. Guessing 1960s-1970s (it is a square tube frame and does lift with a hydraulic cylinder) and looks pretty similar in design to the same-era Krause disks. It looks like it was red and white once upon a time.
I'd imagine I can get bearings and disks... Anything else that breaks I could probably weld, right? I am sure there are no new parts available for these, so is there any reason to not pick it up for scrap price? It seems like it would be a good size for my WD-45s. I have an AC 8.5' 209 disk that I'm sure it will pull fine, but the 11.5' IH 470 disk can bring my ridiculously weighted down Super M to its knees in certain conditions, so I was figuring it would be good to have a cheap 10 footer around for the smaller tractors.

Don't know if it's the same Long brand but I remember tillers and loaders made my Long. The tillers were very heavy, well made pieces and the loaders were no slouch either. The loaders were a silvery grey with a red pinstripe I believe. Tillers were blue with the same oval logo as the loaders.
