My latest HD6 purchase (20,xxx serial) is in need of a front idler attachment repair. The tractor has a solid front idler on the left. The right side is in need of replacement idler support fittings which I have, along with the shims. Since I have a solid idler already, I am hoping I can locate one to match the left. The Berco book we have (1970) shows a part number of AC1247 and/or AC1468. The spoked AC idler appears to be a 622830.
Any help or direction would be very much appreciated. Thank You.

I would say be glad if you can find one of any type. Maybe some one like Gemdozer can say if one is more heavy duty than the other. But with the difficulty finding parts for AC machines today, use a lot more care and a bit more time. Like rocking over a berm genteelly, and other such things that are rougher on a machine than you have to be and still move some dirt around.
Oh if more of a show machine, still use which ever you find for now. And keep looking for a matching one. Edited by Ray54 - Yesterday at 1:03pm |

Correction: Idler is an AC1486. I have found several spoked units and weld on rings.
