I'm just wondering what a fair asking price would be for a 262 cu. in. 6 cyl. gas engine in good condition. It's out of a combine with low hours on it, from a small farm. My Dad has had it in his garage for a few years but did start it after being out of the combine. It was a spare in waiting as he used to have several D19's. I know price is subject to local areas of the country but this one is in Alberta CA. Thanks for your input.
Currently- WD,WC,3WF's,2 D14's B. Previously- I 600,TL745,200,FL9,FR12,H3,816 LBH. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal!

I gave $1000,00 for a good running, good oil pressure combine engine last Summer. Putting it in D-19 is a challenge but can be done! Clutch/pressure plate, rear seal, governor, throttle linkage, front seal /motor mount just to name a few!

In my part of the world, good running combines with these engines sell for scrap price, so $600-800 USD. If there aren't many Gleaners in your area then they may sell for more?

A great motor to replace the motor in a WD45 diesel,if you have access to a Cockshutt Buda motor it makes the switch really easy.
