I have a crack in this little aluminum cover that has the fuel banjo fitting in it. I want to pull it off and look at repairs. It has been JB repaired in the past. I dont know exactly what the hold / crack / leak is....
I looked on You Tube and a couple guys have removed the little two bolt cover to "look" at the governor.. It appears there might be a spring loaded ball ( check valve) on the inside of the cover ? Is there anything that can "MOVE" when the cover is taken of for inspection ? Anything i need to know before i pop it off ? Here is a picture of the hole with cover removed on a You Tube movie.. Nobody says exactly what this is... I hope i am worried about nothing. Edited by steve(ill) - 16 Oct 2023 at 6:05pm |

gasket is only $5, plate is $35 ? looks like the part 'injector cover plate' ?? maybe if pressure builds up, and the ball allows excess fuel to go into the line connected with the banjo fitting? Kinda curious as to WHERE the other end of the line goes
