Our community lost a lot of knowledge, and just an all around great gentleman in the person of Karl Austin.  We featured Allis at our show this year and Karl said that this would probably his last Huraah, so he brought 42 Allis Chalmers tractors and drove at least 4 through the parade both days.  He drove the D21 through the parade first both days and I don't think that big smile left his face the entire show.  He was well known in the pulling community also, which is the only dishonest thing I know about him. JW, yes it was truly a sad day on Sunday.  I was fortunate to have seen and talked to Karl at the show in Boonville, MO in September.  I always tried to seek him out as he was just a great all around guy and great to talk to.  Such a shame to lose him, especially at such a young age.  Little did I know it would be the last time I talked to him.  Prayers and condolences to the family.
The 14th Annual Exclusive AC Swap Meet will be held in Boonville, MO, March 7-8, 2025. See the club website for details: http://www.moacclub.com/

So sorry to hear this. Chatted with him quite a bit down at Adrian. He was interested in a 3 bottom plow I’m looking to sell.
Prayers to all the Austin’s and especially Mark and Joe.

Tonight at our monthly club meeting, Lucas, Karl's high school age grandson, and shadow, was in attendance and requested permission to build a park bench and place on the grounds with Karl's name on it. This project goes toward his Eagle Scout award.   Not only was permission granted but the club voted unanimously to give Lucas  a Life Membership in honor of his grandfather's contribution to our club.

Very kind of the organization there JW.  Never a good day to lose a member in life and living let alone a follower in the Allis line.

Way to go JW!  He'll be a great asset to the club.  You guys will always be looking at him as "Karl's" protege.
