B – The B stands for a “B” section v-belt. This is considered a “Classic” v-belt style that has a top width of 21/32 (0.656) inches, but is commonly referred to as a 5/8 (0.625) inch belt. The thickness of the belt is 13/32 (0.406) inches.

On the topic of Woods mowers, I found an older rear mounted Woods finish mower (RM 306), but it is missing a blade and the entire stack of washers and bushings for that blade. Parts diagram shows nearly 12 different part numbers to make up the stack. Blades and belts seem to be available, but what about the hard parts?

I’ve tried belts from Woods and from NAPA. Nothing compares to the longevity of the Woods.

I like woods mowers, but their parts are expensive. Bought a Gates belt at Napa for 1/3 of the woods price. It's still running, I'll buy another if this one goes bad. When I got the CA/Woods mower it needed some parts. Thought I'd just put a new set of blades on. Reed told me the price, maybe I'll just sharpen the ones I have! Still running them, keep 'em sharp they still cut fine. Will need a new set sometime. Edited by IBWD MIke - 25 May 2021 at 8:51am |

normally you can buy blades, bearings and belts ... aftermarket for any mower... You just got to look at the quality of what your buying.
GATES and GOODYEAR make great belts..... who-flung-dung bearings from China might be questionable.

Just spoke with my Woods dealer. He isn’t sure how much longer we will be able to get parts for the old decks.
