That looks really nice, I have had one for a few years, but it doesn’t look that good. I’m also several years shy of 55.

Had a couple over the years, first one came from my grandpa's barn and is all original, runs good. Second one is an early long base/side exhaust that I got at auction and restored, sold it a while back. I could never get these things to run very long ![]() ![]() Edited by Bill_MN - 12 Apr 2020 at 8:19pm |

You did a great job restoring that. I found one in s barn I tore down for a neighbor, may someday get around to working on it. I remember our neighbor had one back in Ohio, saw it running on their back porch, I was 4 or 5, thought it was much cooler then my mothers electric one in the utility room, told her she should get a new one like Mrs. Damon had, she said she would keep the one she had, thank you!

Model 31 ? Or 92 short base?.
Bill...Your 92 long base/angle exhaust is harder to find.

RLBPA1, that's a very good looking engine. I'm in the process of restoring mine right now. I may be 33 years shy of 55, but I can tell you it's a post-1931 engine... or the mixer is at least from a later model engine, as noted by the casting squared off for the air cleaner setscrew above the air inlet hole.

Good eyes Creston. The serial number on the flywheel indicates it's a 1931 model 92 short base engine. The carburetor is a rebuilt one I bought on line.

I got one with twin cylinders that are opposed. It runs like a top. Looks decent, is flat black.
