The wife says they use a small one in Russia. They put it in the bathtub. It washes and dries the clothes. I never saw one but I would be very interested in seeing one operate.

my grandmother used one for many years. she rolled it into the kitchen hooked the hose to the faucet and ran the discharge into the sink. many of the new ones don't have a pump and must gravity drain. it worked well for the small loads she normaly did. you still have to hang dry after its done the spin dry gets most of the water but its still damp. when she had large loads shed walk across the street to our house and do them. there wasn't room in the old trailer house for a full sized set. I have one of the hand cranked ones (as seen on TV) in my camper it works but it dosn't spin very dry.

Seen one on you tube that slips on the inside of a 5 gallon bucket . Basically just a pump that mounts on the side of the bucket and circulates the water. Dump out wash water filll with rinse water , dump rinse water and hand wring .Looks like a lot of work but would be better that beating your clothes on a rock

Back then we couldn't afford big one so we got a little one. That was a improvement over my mother old ringer washer.

We had one along time ago. Wheeled it into the kitchen as mentioned above. One thing though if you happen to drink a little more of an adult beverage than you should and put two much soap in it, you will have a mess. And your wife won't be happy when she gets home. Oh the good ole days!!

I have one of these. I have used it for nasty shop rags in the garage. Wash them a couple 3 times, then rinse em. Grandma used one from the time she had electricity, to the day she went to the nursing home.
