We see so many Snowflakes or just bums in the news or fake news,I want to report I saw some hope in a group of 4th and 5th graders Wednesday night.

My wife has been a teacher now retired, more because she could not stand what was being crammed down from the top. She still loves "teaching" and helping kids learn. The VFW auxiliary has  drawn her in to help with a writing contest even though nether she or I ever served in the military. So Wed night we went to the awards dinner where a dozen youngsters got up in front of the group and read their report on the topic  Why Respect America.

In my ever humble option it is a crime that not all the schools are willing to participate in such things. But was great watching the kids. Also not so surprising most had both parents there to support them.

How many of you would of been willing to get up and speak before 100 adults as 4th or 5th grader?
