Does anyone know what this number is for? A guy at Hutch (Sorry, I already forgot your name!) brought a photo of a number stamped on his 1942 C to the forum meet. He said he had never seen another with a number stamped there. I told him my 1942 B had one. The photo above is off my tractor. A friend of mine has a 1938 B and it has what he thinks reads U9189 stamped in the same spot, right behind the shifter. On the other hand, his 1939 B doesn't have a number stamped on it.
Thanks!

I have a CA and a C transmissions with numbers simular to that. Had an older gentleman tell me one time that those were for special order tractors. Said it had something to do with what engine or options to put on the tractor from an invoice sheet assemblers went off of in the factory. Not sure if that was a fact or not just what he told me. I've seem several stamped on the trans not straight or cockeyed.
