Got the pump apart on my ca, the sleeves/valves were sticking. Can someone tell me about the control rod shaft? The control rod/ spring came out with the control assembly, but there's something else in there. Is this supposed to be driven out? This is opposite the control valve side. I have a manual but still confused, any help appreciated, pics would be great. Thanks , keith.

Take a look at a previous post from 2 Apr 2011. It's titled "CA Hydraulic Pump" and it has some really nice pictures posted by wkpoor that should help.

thanks ted, the pictures help a lot. the bore with the single big unloading valve in it is stuck, tractor sat for 25yrs. I guess it's ok to drive this valve out??? thanks, keith
