That is a very neat dozer for that vintage .Some of them looked like they just wanted a bigger pile of iron in your way.

I can say I drove a HD10 but never dozed with one.Have spend a lot of time on a HD9 and was never disappointed with it. Glad you could make some memories and have pictures to keep from forgetting. Sorry your toy is not around to play with some more.

Well, I traded a pickup truck for it and then after clearing 3 acres, traded it for labor on the farm.

That feller traded it to a collector, dont know who or where it went.

Best part of the story is it sat accross the road from me for 25 years before I acquired it.  I had it started in twenty minutes with a brand new battery and some starter fluid.  Ran great on the 25 year old fuel and all I did was make and replace some bushings in the hand clutch.

It needed new rams for the blade as they would barely lift and would not hold at all.  The old timer that owned it before my neighbor, said the centers of the rams had wallowed out as he had tried to fix.

Got my new H3 now, just not as impressive, as you know..
