I know this is an Allis forum but I’m in Allis man also and I have a Ford 4500 tractor with a loader front end. My problem is removing the main connector arms at the operators compartment. I have all the other items removed, such as hoses and the jacks. What worries me is spreading the end of the arm off the 2 inch bushing that holds it. I’m afraid it would weak in the arm. I can get it to go an inch and a half but I still like an inch and a half anybody ever had to do this Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have the same tractor. Its a beast.  First Ford I'e ever liked.  Never had to take the loader off though.  Go to the other site and ask on the Ford board.  There is also a Ford
3500, 4500 FB page.
If ignorance is bliss, than happy days are here again.

That Ford 4500 diesel tractor with the front loader sounds like a great setup! I've heard good things about those older Fords. They're built tough and can handle a lot. The front loader is a game-changer for moving stuff around, especially if you've got a lot of heavy lifting to do on your land. If you're checking it out, it might be worth looking into the maintenance history to make sure everything's been taken care of. Sometimes those older models need a little extra TLC, but they can be real workhorses if they've been looked after. I haven't owned one, but a friend of mine had a similar model and loved it. Said it was reliable as heck once he got the hang of it.
