Looks great! While I would only restore things to be as close to 100% original as I can get, I have no problem with others painting things whatever color orange they want. It's their tractor, as long as they're happy, that's all that matters!

I think it looks real good! I paint them the way I want them. Your tractor! I like close to original, but I can pick mine out of a crowd!:) You did a fantastic job on the 14 restoration!
You can be very proud!

Looks great. I like the brighter orange like you used. What kind of paint? I spent lots of hours on a D14 pulling a seven ft. IH 990 haybine while growing up. Dad always had a D14 or D15 around the place and my grandfather had a D14 with a loader. Thanks for posting. Tom

Looks great.   Like other said any orange is good. Just don't paint your tractor with the color scheme of a different tractor manufacturer and I am ok with it. Don't just mean green I hate it when I see an IH painted to match an MF just one of my pet peeves.
That is one tractor you and your dad can be proud of.   I am in the process of rebuilding the motor in my d17 and hoping I can work some new paint into the repair this winter. Problem is I have to build the shop first as my mechanic had his rented shop sold this fall.
Once again great work on that d14 hope your dad enjoys it for a long time to come.

DAD WANTED IT TO BE A WORKING/USABLE TRACTOR AND DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON THE PAINT

IT'S RUSTOLEUM: ALLIS CHALMERS ORANGE AND RUSTOLEUM: SILVER -ENAMEL

WE'LL SEE HOW LONG THE SHINE STICKS AROUND ( ADDED IN HARDENER)

I ALWAYS USED VALSPAR AND AGCO PAINTS ON MY TRACTORS

THIS IS MY  1957 THAT I JUST FINISHED IN AUGUST.

Supper nice job! I like the color choice personally. The D14 is a great tractor, dad sold his and regrets it. Nice little workhorse for it's size. Did you have the tires off the rim when you painted them?
