basically, I'm selling the rebuilt crank w/bearings, the block come with it. Here's the story,
I bought the crank from Sandy Lake. Had the block cleaned and prepped. No cracks between cylinders. I bought new sleeves and pistons and rings. Installed the crank, sleeves, piston/ring and rods. at that point I got distracted and the project sat for a couple of years. when I went back to it, I discovered that the lube I used for the 'O' rings on the sleeves was corrosive, sleeves severely rusted and rings rusted to sleeves. Now it has set several more years as I lost interest in the project. I don't know if the rings and sleeves are salvageable. That's the story. Anyone interested I would Like $300, the crank is worth that. I would prefer not to ship, but, I would be happy to put it on a pallet, strap it down, and cover it for pickup. Or for gas money, (gas prices are fluctuating here in WPA, but right now it looks to be $80 to 100 dollars for gas for a 400 mile round trip) I would be willing to meet within 200 mikes of Clinton, Pa

I know this doesn't help you sell other than keeping your post bumped up to the top, but would you mind letting us know what not to use to lube the o-rings so that nobody else has the same issue when rebuilding their engine?

Dawn dish soap. I know, I know, well dah! It no doubt would have not been a problem, IF I would have cleaned the residue off and re-oiled everything. It was just one of those thing that at the time, I didn't realize it would not return to it right away.
