If you think you've had a crappy day...think how the poor mechanic for this company feels! We have 4 "sludge" lagoons at the water treatment plant where I work, where after the poo poo has received all its' processing is stored. It is dead at this point and no longer produces any gas, and it is just good ol' fertilizer and can be applied to farm ground. Once the lagoon gets too low for the pumps, they have to use a tractor and snow blade to push the remaining sludge to the pumps. I'm just not sure I'd have the heart to drive my new Fendt down into this mess! Have a nice day...ugh!

Years ago i made a cold call to a farm that i had not been on before. I usualy look around the barn first went into the guys milk house and he was there naked, hoseing himself down.
He backed his manure pump into his lagoon and the hitch pin poped out and the pump kept going. He took a chain and went in after it. Thier was no one else on the farm. I could have very well of not found anyone that day.
The Navy lost one of there parachuters when he landed in the Navy Dairy farm Lagoon. They have since closed the US Navy Dairy farm.

The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

I've been at the plant 20 years now, and like any job, there are days you wish you'd just stayed home, from little "accidents" that you care not to remember! On this same job, these guys had an open station D6 Cat that they used like the Fendt...well, the pumps have a bypass wand that diverts the sludge back into the lagoon when the tanker truck is full, with about a 3" discharge and I'd say at least 600 gpm flow...you see where I'm headed with this? Anyway, the poor sap on the Cat didn't get out of the way in time before the bypass kicked on, and it sent a straight shot of poo right across the hood of that crawler...that's making a living the hard way...lol
