Gas or diesel should be the same.

Thanks Doc, I thought that to be the case, now not arguing but wasnt the diesel core thicker than the gas core? The reason I ask is I had a diesel radiator that the top tank came loose from the core, carried to rad. shop, for repair, they told me the core was bad, I seriously doubted that it was but I needed the tractor so I got a new core, I kept the old core, now I am repowering a D19 and need the radiator, carried the gas radiator to a different repair shop to have the thicker diesel core installed, they call and tell me that the bottom tank, and components won't work. Thoughts...... Thanks

There was an "early" radiator that had a very long neck and a shorter (D-17) height core. They were soon subbed up to the later taller radiator. The diesels should have had a thicker core but not sure they really did in the end. For sure they would interchange to fit in the same spot. Maybe A-C had two suppliers thru the 3 years they were built ?? I wouldn't be able to prove that (or not). AGCO parts does show diesel with a diff p/n, but like I say, near the end, why not the same for both?? cost couldn't have been that much diff compared to two different ones.
