Does anyone sell a mounting bracket to put a Delco 10SI alternator on a D17 gas? I have built them before, but if someone offers one at a fair price I would just buy it and save the time. Also, is there any reason the brackets off of a 170 gas would not work?  Anyone parting out a 170 gas?

I am putting a different motor in a D17 gas. It had a Delco 10si on it. I am 40 miles from you and it would be easier to just make a bracket than drive for this one.

I am the fellow that asked you about tolerance of hooking 2 flywheels together.
I bought a Gleaner combine motor so they  have the same father and bolt together.
I would have been in over my head with the Perkins engine. I don't have the machine tools or the measuring equipment.

Thanks for the reply. What Gleaner engine are you using? How is the alt bracket that you have made? Is it 2 bent straps that come straight up from the engine plate or a one piece bracket?

A 301 diesel from an F2. Seems not to be any bad problems so far. I have the clutch housing bolted together. Frame rails next.
The bracket is an H shaped weldment of 1/4 x 2 down to the piece of steel between the engine and frame rail.

You can also check with SteveNJ. He provided a mounting bracket to me when I installed the 10SI on my CA.
