I know a person cann't  give an exact value on a tractor without seeing it. But I would like some educated opinions on the worth of a series II d-15. Rear tires 50%, unknown hours, supposedly no gear jumping?, strait tin and very good paint (rims repainted and some touch ups) , no recent overhaul(guessing at least couple thousand hours) but no oil consumption, wide front, snap coupler with add on 3 point. Any advice of what to look for when buying one also welcomed. thanks in advance

Remember tires and rims are going to set ya back alot of you want new tread on it. A good series II to us was always worth 3000 to 5000. You just don't see alot of them anymore. I also know when you overhaul the 160 they get a little expensive.

Also several of our d-15s have a growl noise in 4th gear. All were from original owners and they stated it made that noise since they bought them new. Weve never had any problems with them.

D-15 II is a very nice tractor to own in good condition. dpower is correct the tires could be a big issue. they seem to ne a very expensive item in that size.

Yup, tires are pricey BUT a ONE TIME purchase, good for 30-50 years, depending on how tractor is used and stored.Kept inside ,out of the sun, the tires will outlive me. It's the cost of doing business, same as gas, oil, sleeves, etc.
I got some combine tires and rims after a local 'combine demo' at a real good price.Sure the 'correct cops' will ticket me but unless they buy me 'real rims', I'm happy.
