Will a starter from a WD tractor fit the grader motor? Trying to get mine to work and starter is history inside,--burned up bad.
My D is still on 6-volt system and is a 1950.

Yes a WC, WD & WD45 starter will fit and work, however those starters will have a Lever type switch instead of a post to use the solenoid. You'll just have to lift up the seat to use the lever unless you Grader already has linkage for the lever type switch.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
