Did A-C use a special color for this or generic? Anybody have a color code?

Thanks

I know about 1970 the Large Crawlers were a bright yellow.... and by 1980 they were more of a dirty brown yellow , similar to CAT equipment... Colors changed over the years..

Years ago i painted a CASE Hoe... Decided not to use the Original Case Color... The darker CAT Yellow was popular at the time, and i went with that.

Codger: Can offer a little which might note be exactly what your looking for but the 700 series of Loader Backhoes and Forklifts were National School Bus Yellow, in the late 60's Allis had several different colors of Construction Yellow - one of them being Loraine Yellow - I used Loraine Yellow on an AC 615 Loader and it was a perfect match, this is when NAPA was mixing paint with lead.  If memory serves, the Allis Chalmers Guide Book that Norm Swinford produced (coffee table version) has AC Yellow Paint Codes listed towards the back of the book. Thanks guys. I remember my tractor at the plant being just a bit different in color from the more recent tractors in the same area. Mine was built in March, 1975 and many of the newer FD, and FL series were just a bit different. The 31 series, and 41B series matched mine in color.

This was when everything was still brand new awaiting shipment. I have a very good patch to shoot a color sample from if needed that was under almost 50 years of buildup with no fade. From gross comparison, I'd say it's the 81611 color.
