 Howdy,,,Here's hoping someone can help with a small Oh- oh,,,,
 I have one of the 4 battery Maglites that took a dive and started growing some grayish gookies around the batteries and just do not want to vacate the inside of flashilight,,,,,!!!
 I scraped most of the gookies out but still cannot get batteries to move to try to remove them,,,,
 Anyone got an idee of what to use to maybe remove this gunk,,,,,???

Joe, Im sure someone will come along with some good advice. I had three of them, and had trouble with all of them. Fantastic when they were new, but, even though I changed batteries regularly, whether they needed or not. still got corrosion, and broken switches.
I gave up on them.
I am still confident of this;
I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Ps 27

I'd say a slide hammer with a screw on the tip, drill a pilot hole in the battery, screw in the slide hammer and yank away.  Don't do like my brother did he was too cheap to buy a drill bit long enough (stuck battery was down 2 or 3 in the stack) to reach the stuck battery, and sized for the screw in the SH...Wink
