To replace the front seal in CA transmission can the tractor be split between transmission and torque tube, with out splitting at torque tube to engine?

I’ve done it a couple of times just do your homework and make sure it’s supported well as well on the drawbar end. You don’t want it flipping over backwards. 
It's the color tractor my grandpa had!
