Well I'm working on a project that involves an 8cyl p-pump. The pump isn't exactly read to go. The pump is currently set up to spin CCW, I need it to spin CW. My cam is not bidirectional; unfortunately. My question is this. Can this cam be ground to be a bidirectional camshaft? If so, anybody have a good grinding shop to send it to?

Once upon a time I ran an A series inline pump from a Case tractor on a 301. On the Case it turned to opposite direction as it would on the Allis engine. It was a simple as figuring out what the firing order is rotating the pump in the direction it will be turning on whatever engine you are putting it on, then hooking up the injection lines accordingly. So the number one plunger on the pump goes to the number one cylinder on you engine. After that you match whichever plunger squirts next to the next cylinder in the firing order. Not sure if that would be the case for your situation.

Lobe profile does not allow this, that would be too easy. Lol. Sounds like yours had a bidirectional cam.
