Huh. I'm confused then. Area rep here either sold me an upgrade or Morton has lowered it's standard? Yes this one was a little higher price but I felt the difference is worth it.

I have a Fbi (farm buildings of Indiana) now for almost 25 years very happy with it.  My BTO neighbors have several of them.  They are out of Remington, Indiana.  When I called the Morton salesman all he could do was run down Fbi without telling me the qualities of his building.  Long story short he called me 4 months later to see what I was going to do.  I told him he sold me my building and I told him I already had it built.  I told him he was the best salesman Fbi ever had.

Last Morton I walked into had truss 8’or 9’ on center, to get strength in the roof they set 2x4s on edge and nail thru them thru the thick direction with 20p ring shanks.

Other buildings as the ones I had built had truss 4’ oc where the purlins were laid flat and to me was a stronger roof, all purlins girts and structural door headers assembled with exterior screws. My building was less than half the cost of a Morton and used twice the wood materials, go figure.

Our Morton Build was built in 1972. Only two regrets....would like it to be larger and should have insulated it when it was built.

ProBilt is a company in the Litchfield, IL area.  My tenant's son put one up.  Says he likes it.
