Does anyone know what the correct length of the pitman arm is supposed to be?

Thanks,
Norm

I do not know even though I sold enough of them but the exact length of the pitman arm is critical to a successful mowing job.  I know cause there were two WC pitman rods for a side mower.  I sold a customer the wrong one and it caused him no end of problems.
He was nice about it but I NEVER FORGOT AGAIN.
Perhaps someone will add the information
Good Luck!

What measurement do you need?  Length of stick?  Center to center of pivot points?

I just took one off a 'B' today so I can measure what you need.

I will take both measurements if you have them.

Thank you.

Norm, the actual numbers from Phil will help........ but think about its function.. When the crank weight is all the way IN, the cutters are center inside the teeth.. When the crank weight is all the way OUT, the cutters are centered inside the NEXT TOOTH.
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

There is an adjustment if you loosen the nuts on the drag bar and the bolt yoke casting you can move it in or out to bring the sickle to register. It looks like the wood on my pitman stick is about 30&1/2'' hope this helps

Pitman stick on my mower is 26 inches long.  It's 34 1/4 inches from bearing center to bearing center.  Hope this helps.
