I am finally getting around to the B Power unit. It came off of a lettuce picker many years ago from a farm in the Santa Maria valley in California. question is, there is what looks like an extra oil pump on the side of the engine behind the oil filter. It has a wire out of the top that goes to the kill switch on the magneto there is a rotating piece on top of that and 1/8" lines tee'd into the oil line for the oil filter.  Am I correct that it is an oil pump and what is the correct name for it? What does the rotating piece do? It is made of brass.  any idea where to get some kind of instructions for it.  Thanks all for the help

The fact that there's a wire going to the mag would make me think its some kind of murphy switch that shuts the engine down if the oil pressure drops.
