B Cutting Out

   Just sitting at idle, the B will run like a watch and never miss a beat. Same when driving around. However, I was out plowing the garden the other day (It was warmed up to operating temp), and it ran fine for a while, then started cutting out. It would be pulling well, then cut out for a about a second, then rev back up, cut out again, etc, but still run fine driving around. I doubt it's a fuel issue, but sounds like an ignition issue. I had the dizzy rebuilt about a year ago, and replaced wires, coil, and plugs at the time as well. Been running great ever since. 6V system if it makes any difference. Thanks for any advice!

	Check your points and/or condensor. Sounds like the condensor is getting real hot under a load vs. no load when just driving around and idling. Edited by Jim Hancock - 26 Nov 2017 at 10:08pm

	Take the sediment bowl out of the tank and look in the neck. When a coil opens up from getting hot it will not pick back up until it stops and the coil cools down. Same with a condenser. Fines in the fuel supply can slow fuel supply to the carburetor to where the engine will get enough fuel until the load calls for more fuel that can get to the carburetor. When fines cause a problem in the carburetor it will not run well at any speed. If you have a screen in the carburetor inlet look there first. I had a large flat washer in the tank of one of my tractors that acted somewhat like that also. A quick check would be to remove the fuel line at the carburetor and blow compressed air back into the tank. That will clear the path temporarily.
