My wife (also navigator and social director) finally got her own Allis (after I have acquired so many). We purchased a Cub Cadet last year, and after 45 hours the right rear transaxle (its a zero turn model riding lawnmower) locked up. Brought it back to the dealer and was told he has a 4 week backlog on lawn mower repairs. Well, the grass wont quit growing in the meantime so we started to look for another lawnmower for her. Found an AGCO Allis 2020LC not too far away and it is now at our home. The mower has 325 hours on the hourmeter, a liquid cooled Kawasaki motor, hydraulic deck lift and tilt, power steering, tilt steering, two speed axle, and a 60" deck. She let me check it out before she gets on it and it is one sweet mowing machine. Took approx 1 1/2 hours to cut the lawn with the Cub Cadet, the Allis can do it in just less than an hour!! She will try it out the next time the grass needs cutting; I'm thinking I won't get on it again.

Loading on the trailer...needed the car hauler as the mower was too wide for my utility trailer.

Looks like that mower came from Lano Equipment in shakopee. I probably set up that mower when it was new. They had two 2020LC mowers come in about june of 2000 and one had just a mower deck and the other one got a loader put on it. It was always fun uncrateing and setting up new machines . It was easy and clean work and i had to test them befoe they were sold. Matt

You are right; it has a Lano sticker and the engine has a tag saying it was built in 1999. The person I purchased it from said he had it back to Lano's new location a few years ago for new belts and maintenance. The seller moved into a townhouse and did not need a lawnmower. I am now looking for an operators, parts, and service manual but do not know the equivalent Simplicity model number.

I doubt that the owner got the owners book when it was new. The book came in a plastic bag that was in a box with other small parts. I always hung the books off the steering wheel. The boss would then come by and take them off and throw them in a old desk drawer that was in the shop. Then when they sold it the lazy salesman wouldn't get the book.  i will make a call and see if it's still there. it may take some time though. As for a parts and service book i can't help you. I have never seen a service book for a allis lawn mower. Either they don't exist or the boss was too cheap to buy one. Im guessing the second choice. I don't know the simplicty model number either. I will let you know about the owners book.

Check with an AGCO Allis dealer they might be able to get new manuals. My dealer has gotten me new manuals for my AC tractors.
