I all argument on this forum if tractor pulling had rules like NHRA drag racing things would be easier. It's amazing how many different rules there are! Up here aluminum rails are ok. But if u go to a Natpa event . Not possible. Where I'm from there is 4 sleds in 200 miles and each of them have different rules ? Alot of studying !

Wd 45 along with the aluminum frame rails it had a hydraulic clutch and a 392 cubic inch motor from Barney pulled 3 rd and 2 gear in tbe unlimited rpm classes.the rails were just like stock only aluminum with aluminum bar stock welded to the end and drilled to attach to the rearend.
